It was like a long, terrible joke being played on the viewers.
Every character was awful and had some annoying gimmick yet I still can't remember any of them beyond not liking them for those reasons.
I don't even think there was even an attempt at a cool final battle with Trip, the entire league was a snore that ended with a wet fart of a battle.

Yeah this especially, they also added pokemon from other regions like Kanto almost as if they knew they messed up and were doing damage control, they really dropped the ball with gen 5

BW2 series of games should have been the introduction to gen 5, if it was it'd be a contender for the best gen. BW2 was made as a sequel to bw, it could never be the first entry without altering the story and that might mean altering everything else to better fit that.
