I have a bit of information about the upcoming Sinnoh remakes. A lot of things are being kept under wraps to minimise leaks so my source (who works for Game Freak) may be wrong. Make of it what you will.

>Slated for a late 2021 release
>Will be based on DP, but has several elements from Platinum
>Distorion world will NOT be a DLC (at least, that's what's planned)
>There's planned to be DLC for new Sinnoh island(s)
>Dynamax is available post-game in the Battle Zone; there's a Galar-style stadium
>Starters, Luxray and Lumineon are getting gigantamax forms, with some others (mostly Sinnoh+ some non-sinnoh)
>All Pokemon obtainable in DPPt and SwSh (after DLC) will be available (via trade), plus some others
>A few Pokemon introduced after DPPt being added to the region (including Litwick and Phantump). Mainly to add diversity in some types because the originals lacked that a bit (they must've realised Steelix isn't a fire type)
>Sinnoh forms being considered, but they don't want there to be too many because it's still a remake. An ice-type Skiddo and a cave dwelling Venipede considered in the early stages, but I haven't heard beyond those two
>Something similar to the wild area around the base of Mt. Coronet
>Route layout is still very similar to DPPt
>Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald VC released early 2021, remake announcement around that time too
>The name is being kept under wraps
