>>43304246The "red" version is now the story-focused single player campaign. The "blue" version is the Pokemon Stadium for that generation. Each version essentially comes with a demo for the other version in the form of a barebones battle tower in Campaign Red or a barebones explorer dungeon in Stadium Blue.
Campaign Red:
-Totem pokemon, Megas, and Max Raids act as a stand-in for proper bosses.
-Instead of needing a specific HM/TM to solve an overworld puzzle, any strong pokemon can move the boulder, any winged pokemon can fly you across the gap, any electric mon can power a generator, and so on.
-overworld pokemon will interact with one another kind of like how your mons interact with each other in the Camp. If you confront a group of pokemon they might team up against you or they could be too busy brawling to notice you.
-Every save gets a uniquely generated table of exclusives to encourage trading or to just make do with what you've got. Random characters just get whatever, but story-important characters would pull from their own unique pool of handpicked monsters.
Stadium Blue:
-Wide selection of rules to essentially create your own battle modes
-You can play with rentals or you can import mons from Home/Bank
-You have the ability to respec your mons as often as needed and ingame move tutors will give you access to standard tutor + HM/TM/TR moves
-You can explore procedurally generated dungeons or battle an endless training gauntlet to level up your imported mons
