I feel like tepig is the best for single player. good typing and movepool. My personal favorite is Snivy though

Oshawott is the most consistent. Also BW1 has way fewer Water types than usual, while the other two (three with Fightng) are way easier to cover if you want them, and have better options for both.

Also personal bias, I always have trouble keeping the Tepig and Snivy lines alive in nuzlockes, but Oshawott has made it to the end every time. Even in the run where Samurott was my sole survivor.

Oshawott. Well rounded stats that allow it to do more damage than snivy but tank better than tepig. Wrecks clays excadrill with scald. Wrecks ghetsis' hydreigon with megahorn. Serperior's attacking stats are lacklustre and all of Emboar's best attacks have nasty second effects which lead to it being more easily ko'd (flare blitz, hammer arm, head smash)
