How high have you ranked on the Showdown leaderboards? I've been playing Gen 8 OU Doubles religiously for the past few days and peaked at 11th. I just lost a 26-win streak on a different account to hax so I wanted to relax and make this thread. I remember an anon saying early on in the Gen 8 OU meta that he topped the ladder

I've gotten 1700 in both OU and randbats. But I ragequit both times due to RNG, which plays a bigger role at the higher levels.

I usually reach the ladder but barely end up reaching the top 100, most of the time i reach between 50-500

I once had godly luck and reached over 1800 on the gen 6 random battles ladder. I'm not autistic enough to play anything else.

I peaked at 6th on the gen 5 OU ladder back in 2010. This was before rain dance+swift swim was banned so my team was an optimized rain team that abused the shit out of swift swim. Ive never gotten that high ever since but I can usually hit around 1700-1800 elo before I get bored or angry at rng and ragequit.

Gen 6 I topped the Anything Goes ladder on Showdown. Team was 5 Arceus (one of them was Ice Arceus lol) and a Mega Diancie. Highest I ever got in OU was 1800s, was a Rain team. Highest I ever got in UU was 1700 but that was in Gen 6, was also a Rain team. I have good luck with Rain teams and Screens HO. Only other tier I ever did any good in was Ubers, got to 1700s in gen 6 when it was just XY but I fell out when Primal Groudon and Mega Salamence made the tier less fun. Gen 5 and pre-ORAS gen 6 ubers was comfy as all hell, I loved that shit. Gen 7 Ubers I did decent and Z-Moves made Ubers fun again, got to upper 1600s. I know this sounds pathetic to actual pros but I'm doing my best.

Gen V UU 2nd place with a hail team. I believe it was Nidoqueen, Tentacruel, Froslass, Abomasnow, Clefable, and I don't remember the 6th. I remember I would run into the #1 person a couple times with my team and would get crushed.

Fuckin hit 1750 in Gen 7...but it was on my friend's account using a team he built on his own. Started at like 1200 and played for hours while he did homework. Never even got close on my own accounts

Probably last gen getting around high 1600s low 1700s in UU ladder running balance teams with Water Fairy Steel core or that one bulky offense with swampert as both the breaker and sweeper. Paired with a thunder wave support from klefki, it could outspeed most mons bar scarf latias and could survive one close combat from Terrakion. Now I'm around high 1600s on natdex ladder spamming rain band vish because no one brings Seismitoad in natdex and I literally only have fishious rend and sleep talk as his moveset
