There's a difference between translation and localization. Translating かみくだく to "Crunch" is a translation. Translating "Watashiraga" to Eldegoss on the other hand is a localization. A move related example that's a bit more common would be with "10まんボルト". Subbing that as 100,000 Volts would be a translation whereas subbing it as "Thunderbolt" would be a localization.
If you prefer the localized version of Pokemon, that's fine. I do too if I'm playing the games. But when I'm watching the Japanese Pokemon anime, I'd rather be reading a translation rather than a localization. If I wanted the latter, I'd go with the English dub instead.
It's like when Crunchyroll when the localization of the Phoenix Wright games as a base for it's anime. Sure, I wouldn't want the games any other way. But when they are subbing the characters talking about hamburgers or calling Naruhodo "Wright" when you can outright hear them say his Japanese name is just weird to me. Not sure why you'd want that from the Japanese version.
