what the absolute fuck is this shit, why did they decide on this progression?
If the first interesting pokemon you meat HAVE to be shit, why not raise their levels? Why cant the first trainers be challenging and provide sufficient exp for mons with a type disadvantage in the first gym? Why force the player to grind exp, potions or catch some shitmon and grind it up for that gym alone? And why so literally zero gen 1/2 romhacks address this terrible start?
