I mean I still read the story and shit, I just basically skipped all the grinding and effort to think tactics. I tried to use my standard team to gain them levels but if the CPU knocked them out, I could just say fuck it and use my heavy weights and still carry on, no bullshit returns to the center every 5 fights or wasting items.
