I love Maractus, I think it's the cutest. I've even raised an IV trained one but it was still awful. Maybe one day it'll get a mega that raises it's popularity like Mawhile.

Grass is also my favorite type, but Tsareena is my favorite Pokemon overall. I like Maractus though. It's one of the few Unova mons I like along with Serperior, Lilligant, Ferrothorn, Virizion, and Meloetta.

It doesn't need a mega, it needs moves. Give the cute little bugger Fiery Dance, Discharge, Scald/Water Spout, Moon Blast, Dark Pulse, or some other decent coverage moves and it starts to become halfway usable. It's special stat would let it hit like a truck and the Grass type isn't god awful defensively, it's just slow and has zero move variety.
