Since one of the main arguments with pokemon nowadays is the graphical problems/laziness, could the pokemon work better as a text adventure?

I've kind of wanted to fuck around with the idea of a Pokémon MUD for a while but like >>43339792 the only engaging parts of it other than battling would probably basically be waifu simulation, which would be way better in actual 3D anyway. Game Freak just needs to figure their shit out already.
