>>43340465It is really up to you but I'm currently playing Firered and I'm really appreciating gen 3. I'd actually recommend emerald if you can, I'm loving firered and kanto and all but playing it is mostly making me excited for my emerald playthrough which i'm planning next, hoenn's battle frontier is one of the few post game battle facilities i actually play, and their gym battles are very much my favorite. Also hoenn is based for some simple comfey exploration, feels like you're going on a little safari adventure and meeting the locals and such, all the interactions with characters are short but meaningful, and the world building is great
