GameFreak has for once acknowledged this, and seeing how the making of a 3D game far outmatched their limited skill and desire of making a decent 2020 game, decided to embrace the degeneration, adding an abundance of pre-teen girls for the pedophiles and making half the Pokédex into Fursonas for the furries, both consistent buyers and supporters of this franchise from a long date. This decision has succesfully translated into financial success even among the veterans of the franchise (the aforementioned pedophiles and furries) who were dissatisfied with the direction that GameFreak was forced to take with this new title.
What has shocked me in my research is that not only GameFreak has embraced Rule 34, even the recent 'The Power of Us' Pokémon movie has come to such terms that they featured a girl who was not even ten years old walking around in lingerie and being constantly captured by masculinized anthropomorphic Pokémon, criminals and older bigger male bullies, looking up to Ash as her strong savior every time. It is ridiculous how thpse brief scenes reddeem a much inferior product from the original 'The Power of One' feature film, which is yet another example how this franchise has relied upon copying its previous work and making it sexier and mediocre every time.
In summary, all signs point that not only GameFreak, but The Pokémon Company, is willing to prostitute their female cast in order to appease their romantically starved fanbase. And they are succeeding.
