>>43353327>The only attacks Misty's Starmie ever used were Tackle and Water Gun.Again that sounds like lazy writing.
Also epic of ashime to have Misty's Starmie serve as a jobbermon because the producers jerk off to first stage Pokemon.
>>43353340It's easy enough to say that, but Red actually does take into account type advantage at the very least, it just so happens that it doesn't help him that much because his grassmons were underleveled.
His battle against Blue actually does feature multiple Pokemon though, even though we only see the finale confrontation between Blastoise and Charizard in full (a confrontation made more effective because it was established earlier in the series that Charmander was at a severe disadvantage)
Origins was nice because it establishes rules to set up the stakes, which makes it more satisfying when the disadvantaged Pokemon pulls through. The Ashime just throws rules and logic out the window because that'd require forethought, something the ashime writers have proven time and time again they lack.
>>43353468That's stupid. There are literally fireball attacks that actually exist in the games.
