Salamence ended up more popular than Metagross, so no wonder Game Freak are going to continue to make Dragons, they sell to children better. That they continued this trend isn't strange, they're custom-tooling the pseudo designs to be profitable.

I want an actual fucking catalog of info in my pokedex, potentially even be able to record things like their level up move pool and such as you actually discover this stuff in game by using the pokemon. I wanna feel like I'm actually fucking researching these creatures I catch, I'm being told I am by the professor aren't I? Drinks now let you fully EV train a pokémon, the cap got removed. HA's are still a crapshoot, but given they're meant to be non0-standard and convoluted to get, don't see that changing any time soon (you either have to grind or have to interact with a person to get one, which entails interacting with some part of the core game as far as they're concerned).

That's it plain and simple. They can't understand a Grass type or Water type starter isn't crippled in the slightest by being quadrupedal or bipedal, but a Fire starter absolutely is, given the extreme number of Fire type quadrupeds with horrifically dogshit movesets.

Every quadruped starter so far turns out to be the least favorite of the trio, with Samurott as the only exception(even then, it's still hated). Quadruped fire starter is a meme and as soon as you get, you or the normalfags will all hate it.
