"killed" is too strong a word. the damage he did can't be undone unless TPC starts outright erasing specific species from future pokémon games, but all they have to do is put a fucking japanese guy back in charge going forward

i know they wanted the british guy in charge this time for le ebin british region, but it wasn't worth the novelty. i've never been more nauseated with so many monster and human designs in a single game

I actually like the designs of newer Pokemon more.
Gen 5-8 all have so many ideas that they make Gen 1-4 look obsolete

I think my issue with the new Pokémon is that it looks like they were designed in a 3D modeller first. And I think they did this in order to make sure they were able to create easy-make models.

I guarantee if you designed these Pokémon as sketches first, and THEN transferred to 3d models, they would look way better.

Honestly, yeah. Look at any of the official art for the trainers or pokemon in SWSH. They all look like shit and out of place compared to gens 1-7. I bet he drew those.
