Honestly the game is a bit easier than Sun and Moon and this should have been the base game (as evidenced by the single year gap between release), but otherwise, eh? Like the only boss that was actually hard was Ultra Necrozma and that was only because they took one of the strongest pokemon in the series, gave it a stat boost to all stats, and left it 5 levels higher than even the e4.
