Aren't they doing this for time travel? Their big thing this game was wanting to try to stamp that out, so by doing these updates it means that everyone had to wait, whether you play the game properly or time travel.

Mind you, Pokemon is doing the same thing just charging $30 for it.

Not really, Pokémon don't care if you date-skip to get the content, as long as you play it. I get why they're doing it, but also think there was better ways to implement it than withholding all the seasonal content just to run the same events they always did to disperse them. But then again, that's spending more money conceptualising seasonal event content than they want to. (or else it means Splatioon 3's starting up).

What are you talking about? Nobody is complaining about events being time-locked, we are just saying that the "free content" isnt actualy free content as much as it's clearly stuff that was already finished and they are just drip-feeding for their purposes.

Right. Sword/Shield will beat it globally, again. When you look at the Western sales, Sword/Shield's combined first week in the U.S. and UK was bigger than New Horizon's.

It might not outsell either of those worldwide though. BW sits at 15.67 million lifetime. I'm not convinced New Horizons will get there, and especially not DP's 17.5 million.
