That's not Gen 3 or 6's E4. People remember them for at least Flint not having all Fire Types. There's nothing memorable about Hoenn's or Kalos's.

The Gen 3 E4 is bland as fuck and I barely remember 6's at all.

Flint at least gets some characterisation (plus his non-Fire FIre team) and Aaron gets some notability for being the only bug-type E4 member.

That said every gen pre-7 has a pretty awful E4 in terms of characters. Gen 1 is only notable for being the first, for example.

Yeah the Sinnoh Elite 4 themselves are boring, but I'd rather they use a great theme for their battle instead of an elite 4 theme that's worse than the gym leaders in every way like unovas elite 4 theme

4 random people trapped in 4 rooms. They're just a few obstacles on your path towards the champion. Their backstories are harder to find than gym leaders, we don't even know where most of these people are from.

Kalos was incredibly memorable imo, maybe it's because they have both interesting designs plus really fucking amazing rooms. How can you forget a guy with a big ass armor who talks like a larper, a grandma covered in dragon bones all over, a bright pink haired girl part of the villain team, and an autistic chef who screams at you if you disagree with him? In what very little dialogue they have you still got an idea of their personalities, which is more than other gens got.

Because you meet them once with no set up as to who they are individually, they have 5-6 lines of dialogue, they're in a single bland and boring room excluding platinum and gen 5, they're mere obstacles on the way to the champion which is the real fight, they don't have unique battle themes making them all kind of blend together and they have no puzzles unlike gyms.
Despite OP's claim that gen 4 has a forgettable E4 they're the only ones apart from gen 1 that I could remember off the top of my head because they get interesting rooms in platinum

the shittiest E4 will always, ALWAYS be kalos. It's difficult for me to even remember their types, i must have defeated them all in 10 minutes.

No one cares about most E4 members in general. Do you see people talking about Sidney or Marshall?

The Sinnoh E4 is great. They all were great in the anime, had great teams and are just simple yet to the point designs. I also like how Bertha is referenced to be related to Agatha, making their resemblance make sense. Also, Aaron is yet the only bug type E4.
