>>43407560>>43407581I know, right—it’s not just sad or funny to see people reaching to defend the clown who became king, it’s actually kind of terrifying. You can tell that they don’t believe the things coming out of their own mouths to defend him, they just keep doing it.
To add onto it, don’t forget that he mentioned doctors looking into injecting disinfectant/UV light because one of the medical advisors had mentioned just a few moments before that “they can kill the virus,” in the context of disinfecting surfaces in living and workspace areas. But you don’t see trumplets acknowledging the events that led him to say those words, all you see is people saying, “He was being sarcastic,” or “It would actually work.” Hell, I feel like a normal human with two functional brain cells to occasionally clang together would at least try to defend the idiot by saying that he was mislead by the medical profession (which he wasn’t), just because that’s more plausible than the dumbfuck excuses that are flying around instead.
The past 4 years have been like one of those episodes of the Twilight Zone, where the audience is hit with a moment of Lovecraftian dread when they and the protagonist realize that the protagonist is the last actual human outnumbered in a world of aliens or dead people, except that the realization is that we’re vastly outnumbered by people who can barely read and won’t accept new information, and their vote cancels everyone else’s out, and even the opponents can’t assemble coherently enough to rally behind a viable opposing candidate.
Fuck, post more pokemon quotes, I’m sad now.
