their profit strategy tends to depend on managing a hype cycle by dropping announcements about new games
if info leaks their announcements are basically pointless
and fan projects tend to make the official releases look lazy and half-baked by comparison

Funny how the official remake was dogshit in comparison. The introduction of the mandatory melee counter was utter fucking cancer. Combat in 2D metroid was always fast, not oriented around turtling and getting in close.
