Both are pretty awful, but Turners don't even look like Pokemon. They should get her people who designed the Gen 1 and 2 pokemon doing more designs because they actually got pokemon popular, not these Digimon.

Mandibuzz, Phantump, and Vanillite looks like something i would have believed to be a Pokemon as a kid

and while the golett like, poipole line, and guzzlord are different, I personally think they're really cool designs

with that said, Ariga's designs are better, especially Pangoro, Rookidee line, and the kalos fossils

Honestly swsh has cool Pokémon designs especially concept-wise. They’re a lot more thought out than gen 1 and 2 mons, which is to be expected because they’ve done 900+ they need to get creative.

You can look at the list of credits to find out all the involved artists. Obviously that doesn't tell you who made which designs, but it's something.

You can get a VERY good idea which Pokemon James Turner designed directly from his Twitter. He likes to draw/retweet Wooloo, Sinistea line, Alolan Weezing, Alolan Zigzagoon, Eiscue, Alcremie (especially the gigantomax form), and a couple others. Coincidentally, they're almost all Pokemon people thought he designed anyway.
