I put it down after the first gym. The battles were too hard and im not grinding for xp. The game dialog and characters were okay and made me smirk on occasion.
Might try it again after the gold beta romhack or i might just finish dragon quest instead.

No, the first gym wasnt too hard. Keep my party leveled up properly and evenly required too much grinding from what i can remember though. Grinding blows and i was having more fun playing other games. I wish the challenge in pokemon didnt hinge on level disparities.

For a fangame it's pretty solid. Has some decent looking fakemons in it among all the meme based ones with some new abilities and moves to use for them. Battles are a bit hard at times since trainers actually know how to fight back so prepping for them can be a bit of a chore.

I think the grafics of overworld is the biggest problem of this game, looks top much like Pokemon Fire Red/Leaf Green.

The grafics should improved at level of Pokemon Glazed/Light Platinun and then Pokemon Clover Clover become the best rom hack every made!

FUCK PRE POSTGAME. Post Game is amazing from my experience albeit tedious near the end when my pokes were lvl 100. Although that's my fault for being too attached to the 6 mons I caught in the main game. I love the exploration available to you in the postgame and its open exploration. One thing I dont like is they dont tell where the sidequests could happen I.E. Hitler Sidequest and I spent over 3 hours before just capturing more mons.

Just beat the e4 and am rebuilding my team for post game. It's pretty good as far as fan games go. I liked the difficulty on boss battles even if Guy and Carlito felt a little bullshit. The ease of access to most of the good held items if you know where to look helps to break into the more difficult later battles/the E4. There polish on the game is absolutely absurd, despite sounding exactly like 4chan at times (even if intentionally). Maybe I'm being nice because I haven't felt this forced to look at things I normally never would have since HGSS postgane/Plat. Oh, and the music is amazing, gonna listen to some of those even after I'm done with Ebin.
If you dislike the fakemon/meme mins just don't even bother though.

Playing it right now. I just beat the 3rd gym and I'm really liking it so far. I haven't found it hard at all, if anything I thought it was kind of easy. I wonder traded a lot of the early pokemon I caught to get that sweet exp boost.
The dialogue makes me chuckle and it doesn't take itself too seriously.
Pretty good/10

Piss poor pokemon allocation. Over 1/3 of all pokemon are exclusive to the post game, which is extremely pointless since a lot of them have 3 stage evolutions. You'll never actually use the earlier stages since you'll just want to level them to 70+ as it's the post game level. Also the post-game has level scaling, which is something that's never justified as a mechanic, it just kills the entire point of leveling.

The game is perfect or near perfect on every aspect except the difficulty. I feel like it's pretty damn unfair that the AI can know what moves you know, and it also seems to know what Pokemon you're going to switch to before you do it. I think the level cap is fine, but it should've been more consistent, everything being level 100 in the post game just forces the player to entirely drop their teams to face a single threat. It honestly feels like you need to sink a lot of time into building teams for it, when it's just a rom hack. Besides the quite annoying difficulty I think the game is perfect. 8/10.

God tier. First Pokémon game I didn't have to impose myself stupid challenges to really feel I had to carefully strategize my battles.
For a romhack to be this changed from the original, with new dialogue, new soundtrack, new Pokémon, new AI and new lore is always refreshing and shows a fuckton of work behind it.
Also, I like games that don't take themselves seriously.
Definitely the Pokémon experience I was starved for since I haven't bought any game since Sun & Moon.

One of the best pokemon games I've ever played. Hell, it rekindled my love for pokemon. I don't see why anyone would hate this game. The memes aren't even cringeworthy, they nailed the pacing really well.

If you don't love this game because stupid reasons (inb4 graficsx, fakemon or difficulty) then you deserve Sw/Sh.

The slowly building-up fantastic lore, the never-ending sense of exploration and discovery, the challenging battles, impossible number of interesting side-quest, the incredibile amount of effort in sprites, pokedex lines, cries, MUSIC...
you do really need a new brain if you don't thunk this is a friggin pearl of a pokemon game, better of almost everything gamefreak did.

Better than anything GF put out afterwards BW2, which sure its not an amazing feat, but it really shows the level of care and respect to the player put into the content. Since its a romhack played only by pokemon veterans its a little overtuned on its difficulty, but its clear that they would have no problem on creating a "normal" mode for a wider release, something that GF has refused to do regarding hard mode. Its packed with content and post-game, it has tons of features that compliment the game well like IV checkers and ability changers and things fans asked for a long time like being able to change your pokeballs.

Its honestly an amazing fangame and i recommend anyone thats not offended by crude humor to play it. 8/10

It isn't, but Clover would need a full revamp of everything before the E4 to be better. At least Reborn tried to do their own thing, while Clover feels like a spruced up FireRed with 4chan memes. Sure, that is what it was supposed to be, but that doesn't help the "better fangame" argument outside of chan-nostalgia.

And there is also the easier gameplay, too many broken mons available too early.

It has a way, way smoother difficulty curve than Drayano's hacks (for example the first gym leader that has a full team is the sixth IIRC), but does get just as hard as them, HOWEVER it feels much, much more fair because the experience system in this game basically nullifies grinding, and if you use thief you gain access to good items in due time.
tl/dr It's hard, but never feels unfair. As long as you run not-negative natures and build your team without overlapping weaknesses you'll be fine.
