Next games we will remove even more pokemon, remove Dynamax and Gigantamax gimmicks, recycle everything from XY again, create 3 more furbait starters for your fap fetish, removes every old starter except Lizardon then introduce 4 new forms to Lizardon, and make it the champion's ace again since you loved SWSH so much haha.

At first I believed that too and we would see another social dark age like from the tail end of gen 2 to the second half of gen 4.
But there is a big difference here compared to that first dark age.
Pokemon is now also a nostalgic commodity. What more we live in an era where irony reigns supreme. People now find a charm in things past their time and find humor and newfound entertainment in it's zombie existence.
Memes and large trends are not allowed to die in this era, instead they evolve and begin to take new meaning.

Pokemon might very well be too big to die. Too many people blindly invest in it as part of the obsessive fandom.
If there is a dark age, it will not be social, rather it will be a dark age of creativity.

I think you might have identified a universal problem with the genre, and not necessarily a problem specifically with the wild area
exploring the different sections to find out which pokemon are spawning and get useful items is fun to me, anyways

I don't disagree with these points, assuming you mean gameplay = battles. Because the story is very intrusive, which does hurt replayability for a lot of people.

yeah, battles is what I mean
there are better pokemon games in other regards, like exploration, but I'm not particularly bothered by gen 7's dialogue

Normies play shit like Candy Crush for hundreds and hundreds of hours on end, they don't care how bland or lacking something is as long as it bright and colorful and entertains them just enough. To this add the fact that Pokemon is this "cool retro/nostalgia game xD" that gets them internet clout, so I really, really doubt we're ever going back to gen3-4-5's "Ugh you still play Pokemon? That's for kids haha!"
It became a mainstream phenomenon that's not going away anytime soon, if at all.
