It’s about the fact that starters are supposed to be a more rare species and thus it makes them harder to breed without a Ditto as the partner since the egg will always hatch into whatever species the female is

Not necessarily true. There are factually infinite Primarinas and Cinderaces since they're just data on a game cart. Just because you have a better chance of finding one male doesn't mean there are more males total. If I had 30 females in a box and one male, I'd still have an 88% chance of my next egg being male, and if that one is the shiny I'll be mad

Found the waifufag. Starters should have a 50/50 ratio just because you can still find ditto in most games. Primarina is really the only overly feminine starter even serperiror and delphox are more androgynous

While you can find a Ditto in pretty much every game that breeding exists, it’s a matter of how early on that you can find one. Daycare centers tend to come up early on but not necessarily Ditto. Pokemon who also fall into the same egg group as starters however come up much sooner
