Also, corona screwed over everyone's work schedules and as such this may be delayed. Finally, Detective Pikachu and Pokken were announced way in advance before either of them were ready for market. It is possible Sleep was also announced for a similar reason.

TPC deliberately withheld revealing most of the Pokemon in the base game, and they only showed off the few they deemed to be marketable. For all we know we can have a few more Galarian forms, and perhaps even some Galarian evolutions of older Pokemon as new species.
