Comfiest games, but replaying them isn't as fun as I remember. I'd rather just use my completed game and hang out with whatever pokemon I want while slowly shiny hunting.

Nothing was a complete escape. Gen 6, however, came at a slightly better time in my life - things weren't better at home, but at least I had friends to sneak me out from time to time. Gen 7 came at a bittersweet time - my dad died two weeks before they came out, and had placed a preorder for Sun for me for my birthday. Despite that, I was in a much better place in general - it was the first year I could remember that I wasn't constantly afraid. It was also the first gen I had people to play with.

The peak is either late Gen 4 and Gen 5. I would say both full under the high point.

Hopefully GF will fix things up by the end of the Switch Gens, or have a moment of realization like Ubisoft did for Assassin's Creed.

So rather than churning out games every year, they delayed their game for a year.

Assassin's Creed Origins is fantastic.

However, the marketing dynamic with Pokemon is different, so we will have to wait and see.

Your point? It was confined to a small area and limited to certain Pokemon. It may have had it's origins in DP but it wasn't fully realized as it was HGSS

It was the same damn thing but with more Pokemon. Having Pokemon follow you around is a good idea, but it needs to actually affect gameplay. Like instead of Strength, you can have a strong Pokemon move boulders and other obstacles for you. You can surf on any Pokemon that can swim and is large enough for your character to ride.

Why do you hate seeing Pokémon in a Pokémon game so much? It meant a lot to people who cared, and didn't get in the way of anyone who didn't. It's a pretty worthwhile thing to have.
