How to make Stantler competitively viable?

I have decided to make a competitive team based only around culled Pokémon and having Stantler as an important part of it.

Any ideas?

My friend has used it to moderate success in VGC. It's the only pokemon to get Intimidate and Trick Room. He would also run Gravity and Hypnosis.
If you're not doing doubles I'd suggest a different moveset

Parting Shot, an 80% accurate sleep move, a secondary ability that benefits it more than intimidate and at LEAST +20 to Attack and Speed. And I don't know if it already gets it but Horn Leech as well

It doesn't need that much, it already has the niche of being the only Intimidate/Trick Room for Doubles and Sucker Punch gives it the priority to move first regardless if it ever needs to. Another good utility move or a decent boost to Attack to dish out more damage might give it a place to belong.

All things can become viable. The question is how far is GF willing to go. Defensive buff and adding an Evo let's it so exactly the same thing the fucking mummy is doing in VGC right now

This is from Gen 6, so it probably doesn't help you. He ran a different team for Gen 7 in 2019, but he says it was bad so he didn't save it. Says it may have been Stantler, Mega Lopunny, Lunala, Groudon, Tapu Lele, Excadrill

There was an OM called Mergemons where everything shared movepools with mons adjacent in the dex, with Stantler being next to Smeargle and getting Spore + Shell Smash.
