>>43456791Adding onto this, it reminds me a lot of talonflame. Talonflame was fast as fuck to begin with, but priority brave bird is what made it so useful. If your team didn't have anything that could switch into banded brave bird a few times, it was a shit team. Anyway, just about any decent team did have switchins already, and rocks were rocks, so band quickly started falling off, just as barraskewda did a while back. The difference is that "fish punches you" is all barraskewda can do. Talonflame adapted into a weird utility thing with will-o-wisp for ttars, swords dance, priority roost to mitigate rocks.
Barraskewda is a solved pokemon; we know absolutely every role it's capable of, and the one role it's capable of just isn't useful right now.
>>43456882Blastoise's defensive set was top tier in NU last gen, don't kid yourself. UU and low ladder OU use shell smash, which is pretty meh because both are bulky water hell, which illustrates the ussue with mono water offensive pokemon; no secondary STAB to work with. Imagine how shitty crawdaunt would be if it couldn't knock off toxapex, for example.
Golduck only sees usage when it's the only swift swimmer available (or one of two or three really shitty options).
The other two are legendaries.
