Why do the Japanese consider some crustaceans to be insects? Dwebble/Crustle are Bug-type, even though they’re crabs like Krabby/Kingler, who are pure Water. Shelmet/Accelgor are snails, but they’re Bug too. In Animal Crossing, you can catch hermit crabs and they fall under the Insects category. But other shit like Crawfish and Lobsters fall under Fish. I get that there’s not a Crustaceans category, but still. It seems so arbitrary how the Japs think about crustaceans
