A mockup is but it would would take a metric fuckton of work to make even 151 pokemon appear to live in the world in which they are also capable of battling, causing great disturbance to the surrounding areas. Doesn’t mean they shouldn’t do this but it’s not like gf are just blind to the possibilities

Someone should mod pokemon into Skyrim, there's enough diversity in the landscape to fit a decent size regional dex. Catching and battling would be the only real issue for a competent studio or lone modders
