Yes we did, the games got progressively better since gen 1 and peaked at gen 5. Nothing past BW2 has been as good as the DS era

Ranger & Mystery Dungeon are hot garbage. Conquest is alright but it needed a bigger roster.
Personally I think the GBA era is the best but that's only because I'm counting all the ROMhacks available.

That's not how it works, after 3 turns you get judged on a few circumstances. Have you even played it properly?

I didn't even call the Gen 4 Battle Frontier bad by the way, I just prefer the facilities that Gen 3 has, namely the Battle Dome, Battle Pyramid and the Battle Pike. The Battle Hall was cool but not my cup of tea, I actually preferred the Battle Arcade

Not going to like, this one made me think. Gen 1 is about a mafia stealing Pokemon, killing Pokemon, letting people gamble for Pokemon etc. Gen 3 is about destroying land or water. Gen 4 is about destroying a whole fucking universe. Going to agree with this one. I like gen 5 but I always feel a little tired after playing it due to its bleak colours and anthropogenic themes. Always makes me want to go back to games with more natural environments.

Anyway, these are what's wrong with Crystal:

-Can't play on a GameBoy or Super GameBoy (GBC only)
-Mareep, Girafarig, Remoraid, Vulpix and Mankey are all missing from Crystal while being in Gold/Silver
-No SGB Border
-Many locations have different aesthetics
-Many locations have different layouts like the Burned Tower, Mt. Mortar and Ice Cave
-Additionally cutscenes, slowing the game down
-Magmar can no longer be caught in the Burned Tower
-Forced to visit the Burned Tower to progress
