We always talk about how the Gen 4 remakes are fucked. How would you improve and expand upon Sinnoh properly?

That's all you're going to get off the board kid. They want Pokémon to start catering to adults - plain and simple. Remakes could actually be the best they've done yet, deepening Sinnoh's lore and tightening up the region but if it continues to be aimed at its traditional audience, they're going to shit on it from on high. No exceptions.

The biggest is that they will obviously be based around D/P instead of using Plat as a base so basically it will look pretty but still be worse than a game they made over 12 years ago.

Though knowing gamefreak they'll probably translate D/P one to one including stuff like the swamp, snow, make heatran a tiny part of it, or maybe even remove all of the battle zone except for the volcano so they can still shoehorn in heatran

The Deoxys encounter was one of the very few good things about ORAS

They're fucked because GF actively works against exploration, free online interaction, the complete pokedex, proper animations for 3D models, new battle facilities, and actually fixing issues.

At this point the games that GF wants to make (or has the ability to make) are a far cry from the level of completeness and features that Platinum had

Honestly I wouldn’t have that much of a problem with being a furry. I just never really thought about jacking off to/fucking anthros. That being said I think a lot of furry hate comes from people with much worse closeted fetishes

You don't have to jack off to that sort of stuff to be a furry. Regardless of the things I do, I'd consider myself a furry for the sole fact that animal-based characters and designs appeal to me a lot more than anything else - if you gave me two nearly identical shows one with human characters and one with animal characters then I'd almost always pick the one with animals.
And that's the thing. There isn't really any set definition of "furry", all you gotta do is know who you are and what you're comfortable with to make the decision on your own. Furry or not, just don't be in denial about it because that only makes everything worse.

My only problem with DPPlat is the slow gameplay/saving, the ugly pokemon designs, hideous visuals, the either annoying or forgettable characters, and the meaningless "story".

Use a speedy engine that lets the region shine through, with refreshed characters, and I'm all in. Sinnoh is probably the best region but it's hidden in the worst engine.

First, make it a Platinum remake.
Second, eliminate HM usage and replace it with Pokeride/items/etc.
Third, no new forms for the legendaries, you'll just ruin them and subtract from the appeal.
Fourth, add a proper, Regi-like Arceus quest where you have to travel the region finding dungeons and unlocking shit to get to the Hall of Origin.
