Grookey is one of the cutest pokemon ever.
I don't care if it's not popular in this furry franchise but it's at least it's a cute design and not deviantart fetish OC

I legit considered taking Grookey since I thought it didn’t look bad (Sobble) or uninspired (Scorbunny), and evolving it into a gorilla would’ve been really cool.
Alas, I stuck with my habit of waiting a few weeks or months after a game arrives to read non-spoiler experiences of early players, and sadly, it appeared that Rillaboom wasn’t as good as Cinderace and Inteleon.

Even its hidden ability is mediocre, what with Cinderace getting a Protean-like HA, and Inteleon filling the critical set niche quite nicely.

I have been a fan since the very first game and I think the Galar starters are my favorite set yet. I have no idea how Grookey lagged behind in popularity because IMO part of the appeal is how they work well as a set. Across all 3 forms there is this feeling of "I could see these Pokemons being friends"

Rillaboom is the only Galar starter that doesn't look like complete dog shit.
The soccer and james bond theme for Cinderace and Inteleon are neat ideas but the final products are garbage.

Grassy Surge is allot better than Sniper. I can only see Sniper work for Dynamaxing(Max Airstream everything so Scarfers won't prey on your paper defenses)

If you look at a Pokemon and the first thing that comes to your mind is anything relating to furries and or something “fetish” related then you should consider some self reflection. But then again, I keep forgetting about the immaturity of this board’s users.
