Is it possible for the series to stay fresh without introducing a new battle gimmick each generation? What would you propose they do instead? Throw out the formulaic progression in favor of something else?
At what point would critics consider Pokemon a boring rehash? I thought they would be harsh on SWSH for not innovating enough but apparently not
