Yep. Dexcut means lower mons end up in higher tiers because options from previous generations were removed.
Most counterplay to Zeraora doesn't even exist in Galar, so it jumped from a mediocre UU mon to one of the best OU mons.

The next time Zeroara comes in after knocking hippo you are at risk if being 2HKOd on the switch.
And this is assuming your hippo is at 100% perfect HP at all times, which is honestly extremely unlikely considering it wants to set up rocks at some point and there's is so much stuff hippo is needed to take on like conk, kommo, terrak, cinderace, excadrill, etc.
