Honestly speaking, I've wanted to do some kind of comprehensive analysis of each game, but there are hurdles. On one hand, I'd prefer not to really identify myself. It kind of goes against the whole point of being anonymous here. But I would think that it would be preferable to have a series of streams on Twitch or something where I can at least give a live commentary and answer questions. After all, there are people who don't like watching 40+ minute YouTube videos but are more engaged when there's a live commentary. That's not to say those prerecorded 40+ minute analyses wouldn't exist, just that it would be better to have both. It would be on a generic YouTube account that I would use exclusively for these reviews.
I think it would be worth talking about the things that nobody talks about. One thing I really like in Gen I is that Cut tree in Viridian City. It's the first one you see, and it looks different to everything else you've seen. As a player, you feel compelled to interact with it, and you are rewarded for that curiosity with a Potion. I think that's good design.
