More gym leaders should be like him. I get each gym is trying to follow a type, but realistically... aren't gyms supposed to be the best of the best? Limiting yourself to just one Pokemon type is setting yourself up for defeat. If the gym leaders follow a general theme, like Raihan did, it'll be more challenging. Like Eelektross and Croagunk aren't water types, but you can easily imagine them being used by a water type trainer, can't you? They fit the "water" theme, is what I mean.

Yeah, let their ace be the proper type, and maybe one or two others, but I like a "theme" better then straight types.

People meme on D/P Flint but he was more interesting that way. I mean he still *hit* you with fire attacks. And even though she was still 1 type, I like how Viola opened with a water type to stuff any rocks or fire types you brought to beat her with
