No. I had the same issue while playing colo and Emerald for the first time. I was sure it would be weak to fire, yet then I remembered it was dragon ground.

Nah, it happens to everyone. I play competitive mons regularly and I still have to semi regularly look up the weaknesses of certain type combinations while I play. To be honest its probably a more worrying to remember all this shit than it is to forget it.

You can't have played more than 3 generations of pokemon games and not know the type chart

I have played: Colo x 2, Gale, Emerald (twice, to complete the dex), FR, LG x4, Blue x 2, Yellow x 5, Red x 2, Beat level 100 cups, level 15, 50 and 25-30 in stadium 1, in two 100 and level 50, first round, Soul Silver x 2, White 1 x 2 and I still think ground is resistant to fire attacks, and I have problems with a few pokemon as well.
