>>43467973The context is different there, though. People may use those characters because they're particularly good (and, actually, in Ultimate, they're not) or because they like their playstyle. I fucking hate Final Fantasy, but I play Cloud because I like how the character plays. Jigglypuff, Lucario and Greninja are all former shillmons whose very inclusion in Ultimate could also be explained by Nintendo not wanting to alienate veteran players who played those characters before. Hell, they brought back Mewtwo, Roy, Young Link and Pichu from Melee. Inclusion seems to be the biggest theme of Ultimate.
