Torkoal burns Coal, it wouldn't be too farfetched to be able to link it with water (Steam). Krike family is based on sound, it having normal would make perfect sense since it also learns most sound moves. It literally goes after defenseless prey. While it is predator behavior, the fact it stalks prey through walls/objects and attacking those taking refuge definitely screams "cruel" or "unlucky" to me.

Not to mention it learns the most dark moves after electric/normal by level up in addition to this cruel way of prey.

Cool, the entire Clefable line was just normal now are fairy, same with Granbull line and Togepi. Togetic and Togekiss also used to be normal/flying, they aren’t now. I think I am getting my point across...dozens and dozens got fairy or changed to fairy. Celebi being fairy just makes sense, it is based of a Fae and defender of the forest.

Mostly just because it lures its prey in by shady means (sweet scent and the lure on its vine) and also hunts humans
Huntail -> Water/Dark

Vileplume is nocturnal. And based off of the corpse flower which smells like rotting flesh. It should be either part dark or ghost.

Fairy type =/= literal fairies though, it relates more to magic and myth. Also Beautifly is literally just a butterfly, some fairies having butterfly wings doesn't make it a fairy type trait.

Not him, but "Ball+Lapis+River=Fairy" makes no sense.
The only thing that can somewhat relate it to fairy is Lapis, even though the only gem-themed moves in the game (Power Gem and Diamond Storm) are Rock type.

You use a fact that fairies are often depicted as small people with butterfly wings and imply that everything that has these wings needs to inherit fairy type. But that doesn't make sense, bufferfly wings are originally part of bug.
