The only Pokemon you could make this argument for is those that evolve via man-made tools, but at that point it's arguable the Pokemon may not even be aware it can evolve since the product of its evolution is unnatural. There are also several Pokemon that are described as not wanting to or not enjoying battle, so why is it okay to throw them into battle and force them into becoming new forms against their will?
