Because bulbapedia refuse to count "holiday hi lynx" and "snow way out" in the episode count which is plain stupid. They say because japan label them special episode, but both "princess vs princess" and "the purrfect hero" also receive the same "special ep" label on the title screen yet they refuse to add those 2 to the ep count

I think that part of the issue is that episode scripts always have a number applied to them for the series, and this is sequential. Certain episodes don't follow that numbering, like the special episodes made for whatever Pokémon variety show is currently airing on Sundays. However, this makes counting the actual number of episodes across the whole franchise a pain. There are even those episodes about space debris that are only ever shown in an observatory on a special ceiling screen. Those episodes have new animation, new voice acting, and have opening and ending credits. Do they count? Do the unaired Best Wishes episodes count towards the final total for that series? It's one huge mess, and that 1000th episode thing from a few years back requires a very specific kind of counting.

So since those aren't included in traditional downloads are there ways to find them anyway? Do you have sources or are some just not online?

You're not missing out on much. It's for smaller kids who don't get their news anywhere else. They'll air a repeat of a much older episode, nothing really amazing happens. The notable stuff is the rare times they have an entirely new episode of the anime (traditionally not focusing on Ash) or reveal game information, though both of these haven't happened in quite some time. B2W2 were revealed this way. We got our first footage of games like HGSS and BW like this. The majority of episodes from Pokémon Chronicles originally aired here. But ever since games got simultaneous international releases, they've been effectively pointless.

The 1000th episode was the Kukui wedding episode if I remember correctly.

Episodes. They usually do one for each series starting with AG, though DP got two. This guy goes and sees them and describes the experience and plots.

He uses Japanese names for everything because he lives in Japan and watches it all in Japanese, so be aware of that. I've never seen them myself, and they're mainly edutainment for children from how he describes them. Still, they're never really going to be released on home video.

I guess that about covers the exclusively available episodes..
THere's also ''Lights! Camera! Pika!'' from season 18 and the Pokémon Generations series. Which imo is actually the best way to present pokemon in their true potential.
Too bad the anime is so super lighthearted.

Pokemon gen was like what a live action movie should have been. Imagine Pokemon handled the way lord of the rings was. Or like godzilla, in a realistic setting. But they cared more about money than quality, obviously.

Some episodes are not dubbed, thus when the dub count their 1000th episode, they do not count them. Such as porygon episode is not included in the dub counting while japanese count them. the 2 DP special episodes and the 2 BW special episodes are also not counted in the dub.
