I'm working on an Emerald hack. How would you improve Hoenn's regional dex? In other words, which gen 1-2 Pokemon could fit in Hoenn and give the dex more variety? Likely the water routes probably need more variety, but anything else. Also, is it worth adding gen 4+ Pokemon? I was thinking of adding the crossgen evos but at that point I may as well just add Pokémon from future regions I feel fit in nicely in Hoenn.

any counterparts that were omitted like growlithe, ekans, mantine, bellsprout, etc..

also any tropical pokemon from any region, as well as more ice, dragon and ghost types since the region lacks them. good bug types can be fixed with fixing Hoenn bugs or adding new ones to the mix.

Mantine's counterpart is Skarmory. Ekans is unclear but probably Sandshrew going by version exclusives.

Make some of the late game pokemon appear earlier. It was annoying to be 8 badges in and finally get the chance to use Relicanth.

Add in Shellder, Seel so that Cloyster and Dewgong add to the Ice types, oh and Lapras, this drastically changes Glacia's team.

dude just add all the pokemon from all the generations and all the gym leaders from all the generations and all the routes from all the generations and add a bunch of character customization options for sprites and add a bunch of different sprites (just make sure they're all white) and just add all the moves from all the generations and make another difficulty mode that allows you to have double battles only and rework every trainer's team to have more dynamic pokemon and make all the pokemon catchable and use set style battle only and add in battle frontier and the safari zones and the pokeathlon and contests and battle centers and make it so you can become champion and start a new game and then try to defeat yourself with your character because your old one is still the champion and add in curry and bring back rivals and all the team rocket people and giovanni and make the stories more epic and make lance a better grand champion and make red's team more legendary and bring back travel by ferries and use the original soundtracks for all the routes and areas in the original games and use the battle themes except the ones that have youtube edits that sound better make sure you use those ones instead and don't bring back mega evolutions mega evolutions are bad and were a mistake and ignore all of gen 7 gen 7 was bad and shouldn't exist but don't forget about the curry and character customization options make sure to include swimsuit options for when me and the team hit the beach for some fun in the sun and don't forget to have some minor love interests add in an amulet of mara for marriageable options and romance because the story is incomplete without my character becoming happily ever after and include a higher catch rate for shinies because 1 in 8192 is unfair and i don't have time for that i have a life too you know so 1 in every 500 times or so because if lightning can hit me then i should be able to catch pokemon before i die and thanks in advance.
