Honestly speaking though why is XY such an enigma? It's the first 3D pokemon game and introduced fucking super saiyan forms for pokemon yet is the most forgettable games in the main series.

I remember more about it than I do Moon and I played both of them through only once, Y in december 2013 and SM some time late 2016. For me the only thing "memorable" about SM is the characters because they're posted by coomers so fucking often. I cannot remember literally a single music track from SM and I remember pretty much all the music from XY.

Kalos is a great region, just super underutilised, and Pokemon variety is unparalleled. Best start of any Pokemon game in my opinion, between Gym 1 and Gym 2 you will be thinking "why does everyone hate this game?" but after Gym 4 you'll realise it's all frontloaded and things seem rushed.

SwSh are just terrible so any Pokemon game would be better really.
