Raikou has been one of my Top 5 favorites since it first came out. Entei exudes power and Suicune exudes mysticism but I just don't like them as much as Raikou, who looks godly.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was intended to be Ice at first, since the typings would then perfectly mirror the Gen 1 birds. I suppose it being Water is meant to connect to the Gen 1 Eeveelutions being the dogs, but that's always been a fan theory at best.

Raikou’s cloud butt really ruins its design for me. The other two are alright. Entei is a bit stiff looking and Suicune isn’t particularly cool. Shiny Entei is probably the best out of all of them.

Entei is the best of the three. Looks powerful and majestic.

Raikou is up there, but its cape thing is stupid.

Suicune is the worst of the three, it has a weird balloon on its head, a Luigi nose, no teeth like the others, and some weird toilet paper coming out of its ass.

What? Its lore literally explain why is it water type. Suicune represents the rain that stopped the fire on the Burned Tower.

The cloud butt is just to match the lightning bolt tail, like lightning coming out of thunderclouds. If it makes you feel better, it's not really the butt, just the endpoint of its white hide swirling to make the cloud connection more apparent.
