Why did pokemon completely abandon the idea of cool pokemon in ruins that represent bigger mysteries? Closest we have now is stonjourner

I feel like Sinnoh had the best ancient lore feel to it, with Unova having really cool ruins pokemon like Sigilyph and Yamask. The Arceus event in HGSS with the Sinjoh ruins were very exciting despite only having a glimpse of them
