There is no "we will delete them if your subscription runs out", the new transfer system simple keeps the extra-boxes locked until you pay again, meaning you can just pay for one month, then transfer everything you want (which should be fucking easy since you know in advance all Pokemons actualy available in that game) and that is it. No longer you will need to pay yearly to keep them alive, thus, cheaper overall.
