>>43512341>I dislike Lucario for being made out of jagged, angular shapes mixed with smooth ones that don't have any synergy together. Lucario's design has no shape theory at all, a running problem with Gens III and IV.Contrasted to Pokemon like Incineroar? I'm sorry, but stylistically wise, Lucario is much closer to the "original" Pokemon design and art style than Incineroar is, with its awkward proportions, sausage fingers, etc. Out of curiosity, what would need to be done for you to like Lucario? Redesign-wise?
Semi-related, there was a thread earlier about it, but it's interesting how, while each Gen introduced is often lambasted for being stylistically different from the original, with each new gen older gens are closer to the traditional artstyle. Gen 3 was radically different from Gens 1-2, but looking at it now at gen 8, Gen 3 feels significantly closer and more true as a whole than what came later.
Also while you're here toughs on the fact we both now definitely know Shuckle's origins, and that Gligar was actually a facehugger all along? (Side note, Giger = Gliger (Gligar in EN) and the dex entries, it seems so obvious in hindsight)
