ORAS would've been the perfect place for a Battle Frontier with how it takes literal minutes to make a good team thanks to the QoL changes. Inject a typical ADV OU team into Emerald, and you'd have a good shot at getting all the Silver Symbols. Gold ones are definitely bullshit though

PWT was fun and all, but I really enjoy battles with extra challenges thrown in. Totem battles came close and shows that GF could make new challenging content, but refuses to put the effort into a new Battle Frontier and that makes me sad.

Newer games have a ton of QOL improvements. That's all they have and aren't indicative of content or how good the games are. With all the QOL improvements, gamefreak has the opportunity to make the most replayable Pokemon ever. Instead we got SS which felt like a Chinese knockoff
