It's still a bad quality for the game to have, regardless of whether or not it bothers you. To deflect the criticism with "m-muh impatient zoomie!" is bullshit, just accept the game has flaws but can still be enjoyed in spite of them.

You shouldn't be using in-game saves because emulators for GBA and DS don't actually save the game on your PC until you close the emulator. No matter how many times you save, if your PC were to crash or have something else close the emulator incorrectly, you'd lose all your progress since you last closed the emulator. Save states actually save in the PC file directly.

And that was my original argument about saving speed on emu.
Gen 4 is still the one with the worst emulation speeds, even gen 7 can go retard speed, gen 4 can only go fast.

That's because DS emulators on pc suck. Drastic on my phone takes Platinum up to 1000% speed with no problem while Desmume looks like trash while playing Platinum sped up.

It's because Desmume doesn't have this setting on by default. Which is fucking stupid since it should be mandatory. It makes everything about the emulator run better and faster, and the speed when you speed up the emulator cranks up to space, compared to having that little setting off.

The newest one says 0.9.12 but the amount of changes that they have done to the emulator is impressive.

I know the saving is slow in gen 4 but I don’t know why the entire engine feels so slow and sluggish. Every action you take in the entire game is frustratingly tedious.
